Zumba® Fitness (pronounced "zoomba") is a unique and exciting high energy fitness class that incorporates mainly Latin movements and rhythms as well as a diversified mix of worldly exotic flavors. This includes, but is not limited to, dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Tango, Cha Cha and Latin Hip Hop (also known as Reggaeton). The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. It targets areas such as glutes, legs, arms, abdominal and most importantly, the heart! The dance steps are easy to follow and participants can adjust to their fitness level by increasing their pace and amount of movements. No dance or exercise experience is necessary to enjoy Zumba® Fitness!

Zumba® Fitness was structured to follow the principals of interval training, which helps maximize caloric output. Participants typically burn between 400-800 calories during one hour of Zumba® Fitness!
